A B O U T
MORING ARCHITECTURE is a simple one-man firm. In my career, I've worked on a wide variety of projects, both on my own, and with a few excellent local firms. I've worked on the designs of Museums, Stadiums, Hospitals, Schools- from Preschools to Universities, and many types of Housing. In addition to my own design projects, I also work as a Professor of Practice & Community Liaison at the Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma.

One of my goals is to highlight the value of good design by elevating the architectural dialog in my hometown of Norman, Oklahoma by creating thoughtful projects that are:
- Specific to the Site
- Modern and Organic
- Effective and Beautiful
I am not good at the typical or the ornate. I am not good at fashion or trend.
I am good at sun and wind. I am good at trees and skies. (riffing on John Gorka's song "Good")
Although open to consulting on any type of project, I aim to design unique homes. While designing to a specific budget (large or small), I strive to hold quality over quantity. A smaller home built with better materials provides you with a richer day to day experience than a big house made of lesser materials. Sounds obvious, but it is not the norm.
Architecture has the opportunity and responsibility to improve our lives, expressing our deepest, authentic values as individuals and communities.
