OU - Wagner Hall
A choreographer of growth for the University of Oklahoma, rendered in traditional Cherokee Gothic, which is actually a misnomer, as far as I know. As a member of the Cherokee Tribe, I've not found anything Cherokee about the Neo-Gothic style of the campus. I would prefer the term Red Dirt Gothic, referencing the local clay used to make the brick. This was the last project I worked on while at ADG. Working under Scott Dedmon and Steve VonTungeln (two consumate professionals), I was fortunate to play a major role in the design of this handsome building. The aesthetic is admittedly a historic pastiche, but it serves the University well. As most architects will tell you, sometimes the client will prevent the architect from doing their best work.
